The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. indeed. They're fighting in the streets now. If Trump is actually leading the modern brownshirts he's got a couple of options, one is a recreation of the night of the long knives and I would be opposed to it on a lot of reasons. Moral coincides neatly with logical.
IF such an event happens, sure a lot of Nazis will be eating each other, Figuratively.
But also they're human. First dilemma on that.
It would be like the SF book "do androids dream of electric sheep", killing an antisocial is itself antisocial and makes the new killer just like the old.
If they clear out the most strident of their members by outright murder and imprisonment, it would somehow make people believe the new regime to be Responsible and Rational and dedicated to law and order. Until the next wave of people disappear. The smaller social groups like Anarchists and the Mentally Ill or Mentally Retarded... Those whose family members "committed suicide last night at our facility, our deepest condolences" will have the same options they have now. IF they were in a support group while their loved ones were in the "Hospital" prison, it would make it harder to do that.
If you have family in such an institution, or a regular jail, get with other families of prisoners for Just That Thing happening.
Prisoners "commit suicide" or "have a rapid onset medical emergency and don't survive" as a cover for them being killed in prison. Every death in a prison needs to have a coroners inquest where any citizen can participate. Just accepting the official explanation is foolish, enabling them encourages them.
I'm not saying that's exactly what will happen but this looks a lot like the dying days of the Weimar Republik.
It's not Trump who causes worry, though.
It's his followers. If he really renounced the Stormfront connection and their endorsement then they'll turn on him as well.
They saw something in him which reminded them of themselves. Actually believe he's just like them. They're a minority voice, yeah. Doesn't stop them from being dangerous, or the backlash that would surely happen.
